Denver
Project
This year's Denver Project Food Drive was a huge success. The food drive
comes at a time when food pantries in Denver are experiencing dramatic increases
in need and food donation efforts down. Despite the trend, Landmark Tabernacle's
Sunday school children brought in 1268 pounds of non-perishable food items.
Landmark families have been very generous in supporting this effort. Thank
you! Most of the food items remained local and assisted families at Landmark
Tabernacle who were unemployed or in crisis.

The Sunday school class (pictured) that donated the most pounds of food
items is fifth grade; 310 pounds total! They enjoyed a pizza party last
Sunday because of their hard work. A close second place goes to third grade
with 242 pounds. Third place was close behind them with a heavy 232 pounds
from the three and four year old classrooms. Congratulations! By the way,
fifth grade has been the leader in collecting the most pounds consecutively
for several years... how about a friendly challenge from the other grades!
We will have to see wait to see what happens next year!
