What is Stewardship?  A steward is defined as “one who manages another's property, finances, or other affairs.”  God has given each of us measureable talents and resources.  How are we to use them?

Matthew 6:33 tells us to “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”  This leads us to understand that we are called to be stewards of God’s possessions to further the work and the kingdom of God.  Furthermore, we see from the below scriptural passages that God intends for us to manage well that which he has given us.

It all belongs to God…

• "The Earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof..." (Ps 24:1)
• "The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts" (Hag. 2:8)

He has given to us each according to His will…

• "And unto one he gave 5 talents..." (Matt 25:15)

We are to give to God’s kingdom the first fruits of our labor…

• "Thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit..." Det. 26:2

and be of a giving and generous nature with the rest…

• A generous man will himself be blessed" (Proverbs 22:9)
• "...but the greatest of these is charity." 1 Cor 13:3

and provide for our family.

• "But if any provide not for his own...he denieth the faith..." 1 Tim 5:8

The Stewardship Ministry of Landmark Tabernacle will focus on helping both the individuals of the congregation and the ministry and work of God.  The major areas of focus will be:

• Ministry and Church Funding
• Current and future needs of the church facility, including planning for the future home of Landmark Tabernacle
• Funding the ministry
• Individual Stewardship – helping the members of Landmark Tabernacle reach their full potential as Stewards of God
• Financial Peace University – 13 week life changing Biblical based course designed to help you eliminate debt, invest in the future, and invest in the kingdom of God.
